So where do you begin expressing your design creativity with concrete? How about the patio? If you are installing a patio then concrete pavers offer tons of flexibility. Various colors and style choices will make your patio stand out from the fray. Pavers can be used for a multitude of surfaces, not just patios. However, if your patio, driveway, floor or other concrete surface is already in place, you can go in another direction. You might want to improve upon what already exists. Consider concrete stain or concrete paint in this case. A well-chosen concrete acid stain can work wonders with just about any surface. So too can a high quality epoxy floor paint. Maybe you want the look of more expensive material, but find that concrete prices are far more accessible than the alternative. You should consider a concrete stamp. Stamped concrete patios, for example, can simulate a look of slate, flagstone, stone and many other materials. Again, overall cost is a fraction of its material counterpart. Now, move on to the interior of your home. Concrete countertops can make complete transformations of bathrooms and kitchens. There are practically no limitations on concrete molds, thus your countertops can take just about any form you so desire. With an array of colors and sophisticated concrete polishing techniques, countertops can be custom, unique and stunningly attractive. Perhaps you only need help with your badly damaged concrete surface. Instead of costly removal, replacement or resurfacing, some strategic concrete grinding can whip your driveway or walkway back into shape. After the surface is done, choose from some of the painting or staining options to bring the surface back to life. Whatever your concrete surface is, make sure to use concrete sealers. Not only will you prolong the life of the surface, but its colors and features will stand out more prominently. In the long run you will further reduce concrete costs by sealing regularly. Before you launch any building project, think twice before you purchase exorbitantly priced materials. Consider carefully the great design flexibility and cost savings that concrete can provide. Give concrete a chance! You won’t be disappointed. |
